Lifting the veil on our next book project: Sneum’s Kalejdoskop

After a few months of work it is now time to lift the veil on our next project: “Sneum’s Kalejdoskop” (Danish title) is the vision of creating a multimedial book publication, which accounts for legendary Danish music journalist Jan Sneum’s journey through music history, and via his memoirs presents a unique segment of Danish music history through images, stories, video and in particular music and speak. The book is created in collaboration with the artist Tone and Jan Sneum himself – as well as with support from the Danish Art Council. More collaborators can soon be announced, too.

Through more than 4 decades music journalist Jan Sneum has been one of Danish music industry’s grand voices. Since the beginning of the 1970s and until today, Jan has dedicated his life to celebrating and supporting underground talents and the exciting stories from the universe of music: Covering everything from big rockstars who have visited Denmark over the years to obscure grassroots music communities both nationally and abroad. As a real storyteller Jan has passed on these stories to a dedicated audience, who has loved his special ability to find marvelous musicians, discover great music and, most importantly, his voice, which has been setting its mark on the radio air waves over Denmark through many years. Not least during his career on Danmark’s public radio, Danmarks Radio, and since then on various Internet-media.

The publication will be a combination of several media, including a printed book and vinyl records, and will be written in Danish.
More information coming in the beginning of the new year.
